Park Maintenance Worker I
Lake St Louis Parks & Recreation

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position which includes a full range of benefits including paid time off, holidays, employee health, dental, life, vision, disability, and an emoployer paid retirment pension with Missouri LAGERS. Regular work hours are from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Occasional weekends and overtime as needed.

This position is responsible for helping to maintain city parks and facilities.

• Inspects and maintains city parks, grounds, and facilities.
• Maintains streets and rights-of-way; mows grass.
• Operates and maintains light and heavy equipment.
• Prepares fields for sporting events; prepares facilities for special programs and events
• Cleans fields, restrooms, and parking lots.
• Performs a variety of construction tasks.
• Supervises and trains seasonal employees.
• Trims and prunes trees and shrubs; weeds and mulches flower beds.
• Operates snow plow and applies salt as needed during snow events.
• Repairs and replaces city signs and posts.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years related experience
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Missouri for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
