Community Center Manager
City of Riverside (MO)

The Community Center Manager reports to the City Administrator and manages daily operations of the Community Center that includes a gym and 2 meeting rooms. Primary responsibilities include developing and promoting quality programs, managing rentals, overseeing building maintenance, overseeing contracts, ensuring compliance with policies, managing a department budget, and supervising staff. 

The city has moved away from fitness programming and plans to develop community programming and events. This new position will have the opportunity to develop a new era of programming at the facility. Education/Training/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Management, Leisure Services or related field required. 
• 1-3 years of increasingly responsible experience required. 
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred. 
• Certification with the National/Missouri Recreation and Park Association preferred. 
• Must possess a valid driver’s license. 
• Must complete within 1 year of hire, the FEMA NIMS ICS 100, 200, 700, & 800 certifications. 
• Must complete within 3 months of hire, basic first aid, AED, and CPR certifications.
