Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Specialist to join the dynamic team at the J. Thomas Lovell Jr. Community Center at Legacy Park. This position will be working evenings and weekends Thursday through Monday. Responsibilities include performing maintenance of the assigned facility on a daily basis and for special events. This includes general cleaning of the interior and exterior of the facility as well as the set up and breakdown of the facility’s community rooms, gymnasium, fitness spaces and other areas as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent required, basic first aid, AED and CPR certification required within three (3) months of date of hire.

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Preferred candidates will have experience or skills in building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc, AFO (Aquatics Facility Operator) certification or similar.

This position will be scheduled 40 hours a week working evenings and weekends, Thursday through Monday.

Compensation: $ 34,514, plus an excellent benefits package.
