The Parks & Recreation Manager coordinates, plans, organizes and manages the recreation services division for the Columbia Parks and Recreation Department including the areas of sports, golf, community recreation, recreation programming, special events, indoor facilities and aquatics. An applicant must have a strong background in the field of parks and recreation including facility management, special events and recreation programming. Successful applicants will have a bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Public Administration, or closely related field. Master’s degree is strongly preferred. Salary range of $78,738 to $96,848, commensurate with experience. Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) and Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) preferred or have the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire. Hours for the position are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with varying weekends. Must maintain an excellent driving record.
