JOB TITLE:  INTERNSHIP

SALARY RANGE:  $6,480 Stipend / 12 Weeks ($13.50/hour)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Student of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism or closely related field of study

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Temporary. This internship will allow you to discover the many facets of the parks and recreation industry, grow as a professional, and meet parks and recreation professionals from across the state. During your 12-week internship, you will learn about:

Legislative – Assist the Executive Director with organizing and executing Legislative Action Day at the Missouri State Capitol in January. 

Event Planning – Assists with the planning and execution of the MPRA Annual Conference & Expo scheduled for February 17-21, 2025 - in Branson, MO. Registration, meals, and lodging provided.

            Assist with planning of other MPRA Spring Events including AFO, CPSI, Maintenance Rodeos, and more.

Membership – Assist MPRA members with processing memberships, event registrations, and other activities using association management software.

General Clerical – Infrequent. May include answering incoming telephone calls, drafting minutes, researching, filing, and photocopying.

Other – Performs other duties and completes special projects assigned by the Executive Director
